NDANO is the membership organization representing the entire North Dakota
nonprofit sector. NDANO, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, was founded in 1997
by
state nonprofit leaders who recognized the need to strengthen nonprofit
organizations in
North Dakota
and their ability to serve the needs of individuals and communities.
MISSION
NDANO’s mission is that our member organizations will have the resources and
support to effectively fulfill their missions.
GOALS
1. Membership Development
and Retention – Develop and implement a membership recruitment and
retention program.
2. Financial Stability –
Secure NDANO’s future through financial stability.
3. Networking and
Partnership Opportunities – Develop a spoke and wheel concept to connect
organizations
interested in nonprofits
and to create joint opportunities.
4. Member Benefits –
Provide valuable benefits and resources to NDANO members to increase the
effectiveness of the
North Dakota nonprofit sector.
5. Public Policy –
Mobilize the nonprofit sector’s public policy voice in North Dakota and
nationally.
6. Mission
and Governance – Be a model of governance for members and the state
nonprofit sector.

NDANO AWARDS
The purpose of NDANO awards is to recognize the efforts of
those working in the
North Dakota nonprofit sector, both organizations and
individuals. NDANO presents the awards annually at the Nonprofit Leadership
Conference.
Leadership Award
The Leadership Award is given to an individual who has made
a difference by strengthening the nonprofit sector through leadership,
volunteerism and/or philanthropy.
