AmeriCorps*VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) assigns full-time volunteers to nonprofit, public, faith-based and other community organizations to build sustainability and capacity. VISTA volunteers assist host organizations by creating and expanding programming that addresses a wide range of needs, including resource development, media and marketing support, collaboration and volunteer management. VISTA volunteers sign up for at least one year of national service and give that service indirectly to local communities by building meaningful infrastructure within the local nonprofit sector.
