North Dakota Nonprofits Eligible for Website Grants

Firespring Foundation and NDANO Seeking Nominations

Firespring Foundation is partnering with NDANO to donate $50,000 in grants for marketing technology to nonprofit organizations making an impact in North Dakota. Nominations for the grants may be submitted by organizations or individuals at firespringfoundation.org/north-dakota. Firespring Foundation will award two $10,000 grants, two $5,000 grants and 20 $1,000 grants to selected organizations. The foundation is the charitable arm of Firespring—a Certified B Corporation (B Corp) committed to donating a portion of profits to the communities it serves.

“The North Dakota Association of Nonprofit Organization’s long-term partnership with Firespring has proven very beneficial in providing our members with timely education on building donor relationships, engaging communities online, managing social media and communicating with stakeholders,” says Dana Schaar Jahner, NDANO executive director. “The generosity of Firespring Foundation to assist our North Dakota nonprofits through this new program is truly appreciated. Nonprofit websites are essential for sharing the positive impact of our work with our communities and engaging people as donors and volunteers, so this program provides critical support for our nonprofit members to build capacity and achieve even greater impact.”

Representatives from nominated organizations will be invited to an exclusive educational program and luncheon in Fargo Aug. 16. The program will cover ways nonprofits can improve their online presence and use emerging technology. Grant recipients will be announced at the event. Those selected for the $10,000, $5,000 and $1,000 awards may use the grants toward any of Firespring’s nonprofit website and online marketing services.

Firespring Founder and CEO Jay Wilkinson says the foundation chose North Dakota for the $50,000 donation because of Firespring’s relationship with NDANO. “Nearly a thousand North Dakota nonprofits have participated in our educational events over the years,” Wilkinson said. “We’re looking forward to helping more organizations in North Dakota fulfill their missions through these grants from the Firespring Foundation.”

Nominations for the grants may be submitted by organizations or individuals, including the organizations themselves, at firespringfoundation.org/north-dakota, through July 20.
