 Practicing and building inclusion takes effort. As with any new skill\, it
  takes time and practice to increase our effectiveness.\n\nThis workshop w
 ill allow participants to explore how their environment and experiences ha
 ve shaped beliefs\, biases\, and filters regarding their view of others\, 
 situations\, and events – particularly in decision-making in the workplace
 . \n\nParticipants will be able to:\n-- Define unconscious bias\n-- Unders
 tand how it can negatively influence workplace decisions\n-- Identify thei
 r own biases and motivation to mitigate unconscious bias\n\n<b>About the P
 resenter</b>\nFarhiyo Abdulkarim\, Farihiyo is a Muslim\, Somali-American\
 , who calls the Fargo-Moorhead area home. With a background in education a
 nd English literature\, she is committed to issues identity\, access\, equ
 ity\, representation and differences. She believes that creating a diverse
 \, and inclusive culture starts with each and every one of us – through en
 gaging with the others.
