 ey aspect of mission success and sustainability\, lay a conceptual groundw
 ork for the culture of leadership continuity\, and demonstrate that there 
 are multiple options for beginning the leadership continuity process. Afte
 r completing this session\, you will understand and be able to discuss wit
 h others the critical need for succession planning in your organization. Y
 ou also will be equipped to assess your organization’s leadership continui
 ty landscape.\n\n<b>Part 2: Creating the Conversation & Contingency Planni
 ng\nSept. 14  - 2-3 p.m. CT</b>\nThis session will examine the first two o
 ptions you may consider for beginning the succession planning process. But
  first\, it introduces two important lenses through which succession plann
 ing should be viewed: personal emotion and the relevance of diversity\, in
 clusion and equity. After completing this session\, you will be able to in
 itiate a generative discussion about leadership continuity\, organize the 
 essential information your agency needs for maintaining operations during 
 a leadership change\, and recommend a potential board leadership pipeline 
 strategy.\n\n<b>Part 3: Succession Planning Through Policy\, HR Practice &
  Strategic Planning\nSept. 21  - 2-3 p.m. CT</b>\nThis session presents th
 e final three options for beginning the succession planning process and in
 vites you to identify which approach you will take to initiate a culture o
 f leadership continuity in your organization. After completing this sessio
 n you will be able to lead your board’s adoption of three essential leader
 ship succession policies. You also will be equipped to convene a generativ
 e discussion about using basic HR practices to support talent succession\,
  and assess the extent to which your strategic plan includes human resourc
 es considerations.\n\n\n<b><i>All sessions will be recorded and the record
 ing will be available to all registered participants. Participants who are
  unable to attend one or more of the sessions will still have access to al
 l course materials.</i></b>\n\n<b>Presenter</b>\nRandy Brinson is an exper
 ienced nonprofit executive and consultant associated with Third Sector Com
 pany\, where he facilitates the Interim Leaders Roundtable of Seattle\, as
 sists with chief executive searches and contributes to Board Chairs Academ
 y trainings. He also works independently on governance and capacity-buildi
