 nders</b>\nOne of America’s youngest civic engagement leaders\, her practi
 cal expertise is engaging and training women and young people to be involv
 ed and participate in elections\, voting and public policy. Christina was 
 recently appointed to serve on the Texas Advisory Committee for the United
  States Commission for Civil Rights. In Fall 2013 she ran for Houston City
  Council\, District D\, one of the city's most under-served\, yet promisin
 g council district in Houston. Her campaign came in fourth in a crowded fi
 eld of 12 candidates in the open-seat race.
