\n\n<b>Descriptions</b>\nMost nonprofit organizations that were reasonably
healthy before COVID-19 will manage to get through the end of this calend
ar year. A combination of fundraising\, government loans\, budget realloca
tions\, furloughs\, and luck will take us to Dec. 31\, 2020. Come Jan. 1\,
2021\, everyone will still be in business. But that same combination of t
hings will not be sufficient to get everyone through the next year\, let a
lone the next five years. So how can organizations start now to think diff
erently about how they allocate their time\, and how to plan for the incom
e needed to do their work? \n\nThings are not going to return to normal—no
r should they. Normal was not working for most people\, and a new normal i
s in danger of being a mutation of the old normal. Something else entirely
is needed and those in charge of bringing in the money must provide the l
eadership needed to help organizations “be the change we wish to see.”\n\n
In this workshop\, Kim will discuss ways in which nonprofits must think bi
gger\, move into more advocacy\, collaborate with others\, and ramp up com
munity organizing in order to create an environment in which nonprofits ca
n survive and thrive. Specifically\, Kim will look at the role of developm
ent in creating positive change. This workshop is geared to staff and boar
d members whose primary role is fundraising.\n\n<b>Event Details</b>\nThis
workshop is the second session in a two-part series. The first session is
'A Practical Guide to Fundraising Through the End of the Year' on August
21 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Use the registration button above to register onl
y for How Fundraising Can Help Make the Changes We Want\, or register for
the full series for $115 for members and $155 for nonmembers. \n\n<b>Speak
