 /b>\n\nA strategic plan turns words into action as a living\, breathing gu
 ide for your organization. Participants in this workshop will understand t
 he role of their organization's strategic plan\, why it's important\, who 
 should be involved\, what guides it\, and its use and application. Specifi
 cally\, this workshop will delve into the following questions:\n<ul><li>Wh
 at is a strategic plan and what makes a good one? </li>\n<li>Who develops 
 a strategic plan? </li>\n<li>How long is a strategic plan good for and how
  often should it be reviewed? </li>\n<li>How are strategic\, budget\, and 
 development planning interdependent?</li>\n<li>How does a strategic plan t
 ie into an evaluation plan?</li></ul>\n\nThis workshop will be presentatio
 nal and conversational\; it will include large group and small breakouts. 
 It is targeted to any and all who are needing guidance on their strategic 
 planning process and don't know where to start. Participants will walk awa
 y with concrete ideas of how to be a supportive member of their organizati
 on's development of a strategic plan and how to turn words into action. \n
 \n<b>Presenter</b> Sandra J. Agustin\nSandra J. Agustin has an extensive h
 istory of arts and social and racial justice leadership. She is a native M
 innesotan\, the youngest child of a Filipino immigrant and 5th generation 
 Euro-Minnesotan. Since the age of 9\, she has professionally performed and
  taught dance\, later moving into arts administration as executive and art
 istic director at Intermedia Arts. She has served as artistic director at 
 the Neighborhood House in St. Paul\, and as program officer at the Minneso
 ta State Arts Board managing multiple programs made possible through the L
 egacy Amendment. She is a former co-artistic core member of Mu Performing 
 Arts.\n\nAgustin has served on the board of directors for the Minnesota Ci
 tizens for the Arts\, Minnesota Dance Alliance\, Pimsler Dance and Theater
  Company\, Somali Documentary Project\, and Charities Review Council\, and
  has served on numerous funding panels. As a facilitator\, Sandra's client
 s include entities such as ArtPlace America\, NeighborWorks\, Southwest Mi
 nnesota Housing Partnership\, University of Minnesota's Art's Leadership p
 rogram\, Million Artist Movement\, the City of Minneapolis via ReCast\, an
 d in 2000\, assisted in the design of the Institute for Creative Community
  Development alongside Bill Cleveland of the Center for the Study of Art a
 nd Community. Agustin is currently the Director of Creative Engagement for
  Inspire-to-Change\, a new organization dedicated to purpose driven change
  through evaluation and strategic planning via consulting and coaching.
