 lture to work. This workshop will help participants deepen their understan
 ding of how culture influences different communication styles\, which can 
 often lead to misunderstanding and conflict. We will examine different com
 munication and conflict styles and learn new strategies for identifying ba
 rriers to healthy communication and managing conflict in the workplace.\n
 \n<b>Speaker Information:</b>\nRebecca Slaby\, executive director\, leads 
 AMAZEworks in working with schools\, communities\, and organizations to cr
 eate equity and belonging for all. She gives workshops on Anti-Bias Educat
 ion with a focus on cultural responsiveness\, bias\, identity\, and stereo
 type threat and has co-authored two AMAZEworks curriculums. With an M.Ed. 
 from DePaul University\, she has 15 years of experience teaching middle sc
 hool humanities/social studies and has worked with schools on issues of eq
 uity\, inclusion\, and justice on institutional\, state\, and regional lev
 els. Slaby has presented at Overcoming Racism\, MEA\, NAEYC\, MnAEYC\, Imp
 act\, and Minnesota Council of Nonprofits conferences and teaches courses 
 on equity-based pedagogy at the University of Minnesota.
