For decades, Missouri Slope Areawide (MSA) United Way has empowered people in need by the caring power of our community. The hungry have been fed. The homeless have received shelter. The sick have been provided care. Because of the generosity of our community and the dedication of our partner agencies, many lives have been improved.

In recent years, MSA United Way has evolved to meet the growing needs of our community by adopting a Community Impact Model. We have moved beyond the traditional role of fundraiser and into the role of a community problem solver. We aspire to achieve lasting change by addressing the root causes of the most pressing human and social issues facing our community. We tackle issues with research-based, proven strategies that create real results.

MSA United Way brings together organizations, businesses and volunteers to join the mission to improve lives in the greater Bismarck-Mandan area. We strive to ensure that donor dollars are used where they are needed most and in the most effective way possible. In partnership with 33 local agencies, MSA United Way maximizes coordination of services and minimizes duplication. Most importantly, we advocate for those in need and solve community-wide problems to create lasting change.
