July 26, 2010 –
Small nonprofit organizations at risk of losing
their tax-exempt status because they failed to
file required returns for 2007, 2008 and 2009
can preserve their status by filing returns by
Oct. 15, 2010, under a one-time relief program,
the Internal Revenue Service announced today.

June 18, 2010 – At
a press conference June 16 at the Capitol in
Washington, D.C., NDANO and the National Council
of Nonprofits applauded the leadership of
Minnesota Congresswoman Betty McCollum for
introducing the
Nonprofit Sector and Community Solutions Act (HR
5533), a bill that will transform the
way that the federal government thinks about and
deals with the charitable nonprofit community in
the United States.

annual award recipients during the Annual
Nonprofit Leadership Conference June 3 in
Bismarck. The Walt Odegaard Leadership Award was
presented to Debra Johnson and Joseph Satrom,
and Family HealthCare Center received the
