TWO WEEKS (Jan. 22)

Deadline to Register to Participate in Nonprofit Day – Jan. 22

Watch NDANO’s “Nonprofit Day Preview” Webinar – Jan. 22 at 12:30 p.m. CT

Invite Your Local Legislators to Participate in Nonprofit Day

  • Invite them to join you for breakfast between 7:30-8:30 a.m. in Legislative Hall (sponsored by Anne Carlsen Center, Beyond Shelter Inc. and North Dakota Community Foundation)
  • Schedule a time to meet with them individually during the day (coffee or lunch)
  • Set up the opportunity to sit with one of your legislators during floor session at 1 p.m.

Prepare Materials

  • For your table – if you represent one of the NDANO member nonprofits selected to exhibit in Memorial Hall
  • For distribution to legislators – handouts about your nonprofit and its impact, as well as newspaper or media clippings highlighting your work

Confirm Scheduled Meetings with Legislators

 

DAY BEFORE (Feb. 4)

GET READY!!!

  • Promote release of new North Dakota nonprofit sector report
  • Attend informal reception for nonprofits – 7-8:30 p.m. (Stonehome Brew Pub)

 

DAY OF (Feb. 5)

PARTICIPATE!!!

  • Attend Nonprofit Day activities
  • Connect with nonprofits and legislators
  • Post on social media (#NDNonprofitDay19)

 

WITHIN TWO WEEKS (Feb. 19)

Send a Thank You

  • To any legislators you connected with during Nonprofit Day

Share Insights with NDANO

  • Via the online evaluation to help us improve future events
  • Via email to office@ndano.org about any pending legislation or issues impacting nonprofits
